2100km so far - having the 2k service on Wednesday. I've just discovered the joy of S6 - gets rid of the lag and I love the little kick you get in the upshift and the throttle blip on the downshift.

Looking forward to 8,000rpm on Wednesday afternoon!

BTW - averaging 12.7 L/100km.

Yes - S=Sequential (Manual) mode, drivelogic setting 6 (max). You can only access 6 by deactivating DCT....so you have to be wide awake when using!

Comfort refers to the EDC setting (Comfort/Normal/Sport). The car should give a softer ride in Comfort mode and really stiifen up in Sport mode.

I've been over 5500km in the run in phase a couple of times but it's no big deal. I think as long as you don't hammer the car consistently during the run-in phase the odd excursion past 5500 should be OK. I can't imagine an engine is so sensitive that it'll blow up - at least not a high revving one like the S65!

It is available after 2000km but I thought I'd just play safe and run the car in a bit longer before caning it!

From what I remember you deactivate DSC, hold the stick forward or back, build the revs up, let the stick go...and then hang on for dear life! I've seen a few YouTube vids - pretty awesome!

I know it's abit off topic but was over on bmwccv site and noticed a drive being organised by the 1addicts for this Sunday. They are meeting at Harvey Norman Chadstone and going cruisin to Sugarloaf i think its called. I asked if it was just for 1's and they are happy for the M's to cruise too if you are up for it. I'm gonna tag along. There having a bbq lunch.

The girlfriend has made it clear that she will not be coming to any cruises unless it involves a large ocean liner and a sundeck.

Would like to but, I doubt it. I already have a dirt bike ride locked away for Saturday so getting out Sunday as well might require me bringing a suitcase with all my belongings in it

I could bin the dirt ride & come along.. Are you guys definately going?
