Thanks! Yea the Welt really is like Disneyland for adults! My wife didn't want to go on this trip but came back happy she did!

Thanks!! and enjoy your M3 in good health. Good job keeping it under 5k RPM lol...im sure you can't wait to let her rip hahah
Sorry, I know the video is quite lengthy. Just trying to fill in the void of every other European Delivery video. They all are 2-3 minute clips of them walking down the stairs and taking delivery. There was a WHOLE lot more that went on and figured I'd show that!

It's super crisp and captured the audio very well as compared to my HD flip. I'm looking to upgrade my video camera before my trip to Europe to have a great video for my family to watch when me and my wife return to the states.

A fellow Nikon guy (D700 14-24mm 2.8, 24-70mm 2.8, 70-200mm 2.8, 50mm 1.4 - All going with me to Europe). Now to fix the video camera issue.

Thanks!

Bacon Fan, Thanks for the compliment! I was waiting out for the Canon Vixia G10 because of its low light capabilities. However, B&H didnt have it by the time I left for my trip and bought a Canon Vixia HF S21 at the very last moment. I am very pleased with the Canon HF S21 as my trip was recorded in 1080p and looks fantastic. I wish I had bought the camera ahead of time so that I could have put the camcorder in Manual mode and started to play with the depth of field but I guess I'll wait for next time!

Great video. My ED was a couple days later. 3/29. Ironically, I stayed at the Munich Marriott as well.

How many miles did you put in your new M3 in Germany?
I'm curious how many more miles will it gain getting to your local dealership.

BMW Welt looked awesome. BMW makes so much profit from us that they can build that million dollar facility.

Thanks.

I put on 200 miles while in Germany. Taking redelivery at PCD in SC so by the time I drive it back up north via VABeach in May I'll be ready for my oil change when I arrive back on Long Island!

Mighty M3 you have. I wish we have ED in Asia.

BTW, those Ferrari and Porsche in that parking lot are sick.

Good stuff Yogi. What's the effect you're using for the one pic of the car and the pic of the plane at the end? Is this from PS4?

Ummm Yogi?

Its an HDR affect! Took 3 pics at -2, correct exposure and +2 exposure and used Photomatix Pro to create an HDR.

Great write up! Love that sound! You should definitely make another video when you do the PCD.

Thanks for sharing! Your video brought back a lot of memories from when I did my ED. Did you sign the Bimmerfest book? I drew a silly looking Garfield and Bart Simpson lol. Luckily you're in the East coast, you'll get your car a lot faster than I did.

Enjoy!

Great job on the video and pictures! I don't think i have enough time to edit 4.5 hours of video i have............
BTW The wait for US delivery is painful. Find as many distractions as possible so you don't go crazy!

Nice use of iMovie to make a great video.
So after ED, you'll take delivery via PCD? Awesome.

also, what kinda timeframe do u have before u have to give it back? does it go back to the welt? or do u drive it to the docks?

Yea if you get navigation in your car you will have the European maps in your car while in Europe. Once it gets to the port in the US it'll be wiped and the US/North America maps installed.

I have to admit that it was a bit nerve racking for the first time driving on the tight streets by the hotel but after I got on the open road it was fine.

Props on the Sedan!

Was just watching your vid and couldn't help but notice my Lemans Blue/Rust Brown Convertible and buddy's Mineral White/Fox Red/Competition Package Coupe in the background! Plates 554 & 555! 3/18 Delivery right?

They must have moved them around so we could do our side by side delivery!

BTW... Topped my vert out at 150 in the rain
