Bug Residue on Clear Bra

After a great weekend of spirited driving (over 1200K) in Southern Germany and Central Austria, it seemed like the M3 killed over a few thousand bugs. Thankfully, the bumper took out most of them where I have the 3M paint protection film at. After washing the car and removing the bug bodies, some of them left small yellow and pinkish circles on the PPF. I've used the BMW insect spray and also the Premier clear bra cleaner with no avail. Anyone know how I can get rid of these markings? Your advice/help will be greatly appreciated!

Wash the car and then use light polish. Something that has little to no abrasives to polish out the markings.

I'd suggest something along the lines of Menzerna 85rd...

I'll give that a shot...I've got another road trip planned out this weekend (maybe even go to Nordschleif) so I'll probably try that in the next couple of weeks. I'm assuming either use a white or black pad on my PC?

You can use the 85RD like Martin suggested however I have found my 3M film got stained yellow and pink in from bugs and I was not successful in trying to polish it out. I have found that over time the stains have faded out and disappeared, Maybe due to the sun?! I am not really sure what did it but I know that the stains are gone now.

Soooo.... your clear-bra was damaged rather than your paint? Doesn't this mean that it worked PERFECTLY?

Don't forget the purpose of having a clear-bra is that it's the ultimate sacrificial barrier. Key word is "sacrificial." If you could just maintain your film, people wouldn't use film: they'd have additional layers of clear-coat sprayed on the front of the vehicle.

I use Optimum No Rinse as a quick detailer & have never had a problem. I let it soak a bit & get them off as soon as I can. Also use Plexus to maintain it.

Very simple. Take some isopropyl alchohol, dab it on a rag, and let it soak into the film. WHat happens is the alchohol soaks into the film... when it evaprorates out it pulls the bug juices with it. So after 30 minutes or so just wipe off the remaining bug remnants with a detailer. I have been telling my clients for years to do this and it has worked everytime.

Just make sure you do not rub the film with the alchohol. It will scuff it so just dab it on. This is especially true with VentureShield.
