Is this kit much if any different than the one on the 335? And does the BMW performance shifter work on the M3?

BMW performance = shorter shift lever for 335 = 17% throw reduction.

BMW performance hasnt come with one for M3 yet. AA, UUC, Rogue (i apologize to AA for mentioning other shops in their thread) are known to produce quality shifters for E46 M3's as well as many other cars. i have tried one of them on E46 M3 before and I have no complaints.

I have an appointment for install on Thurs at Active Autowerke ( i live in Miami 15 min near their HQ). I'll give a review shortly afterwards. I plan on keeping the stock knob unless I see the AA knob in person and change my mind.

Thanks. Please post lots of pics. Are you staying while they install it? Perhaps you could take pics during the install if they allow it? I was really hoping the install wouldn't be from the bottom like it was on the E46 M3. I installed my Autosolutions SSK and it was rather difficult and frustrating at times. The reward was well worth it though.

Installation is fairly simple and straightforward. The exhaust does have to be removed for installation. The throw is approx 30% shorter.

There should be some customer reviews pretty soon. For all those who have waited patiently we do appreciate it and units are shipping today.
