Convertible is easy to find. Esp for E36 since not may wants them.
Check autotrader, ebay and carmax. I see quite a lot of E36M3 Convertibles and early E46M3 convertibles FS these days.

ebay purchases

Hi,

I found a potential M3 on ebay in Florida but am nervous. I have never bought a car using ebay. Since I most likely can not see the car before I buy, any suggestions on how to protect myself.

Can I bid with a right to inspect the car before closing the deal? Should I use PayPal? Any other ideas?

Thanks

PPI??????

I am sorry, what does PPI stand for? What if this is not feasible due to the distance?

Pre Purchase Inspection.
There are kinda eBay certified shops do inspection.
Some eBay car sellers even go through PPI before post their auctions.

But if you can't get the inspection before hand, I strongly recommend NOT getting that car.
My buddy experienced, great condition looking (in pictures) car turns out to be shit car from PPI on a E36M3 coupe a few months ago.

Seriously, check for more Autotrader and M3Forum.net (major E46/36 M3 forum). If eBay- find one from locals.
