I too had a hard time figuring out how to launch the DCT, but in the end I stuck with launch control. The DCT either has the clutch in or out. There is no in between or trying to slip the clutch. When I attempted to just mash the pedal I blew the tires, so I did not try it again. However, I did not do near the burnout you did! I figured as soon as I touched the brake during the burnout the clutch would disengage, but your video shows that's not the case. If I go back to the track next year I will have to try it again with a long burnout.

Here's the two heavily modded C63's, around 460+whp each.

Just wondering but in the video on your youtube page with you racing the CTS-V, did he happen to run at the strip with you guys too?
Be curious on what that beast ran.

Very impressive times DLSJ5! Just curious, but how much power did you gain with your supporting mods? I see you have GIAC tune. I have a GIAC tune on my VW and love it. Wish Toyota would allow their ECU to be tuned.

He's ran low 12's @ 118 before, unfortunately he wasn't at this event, I agree it would have been great to see what he runs at Famoso.

Thanks Bro, great time on your ISF as well! I probably picked up 30-40whp with the mods. I trapped 110-111 stock and 115-116 modded, so that's a really nice gain. Going to try for 11's again soon. I've ran GIAC on all my cars, very happy with it.

30-40whp is awesome on a N/A V8! Were most of the gains from the tune? I can't imagine gaining too much with exhaust. With your power to weight ratio, the ability to get below a 1.9x 60' and ideal weather conditions you are certainly going to be in the 11's.

Unfortunately this is an incorrect statement. There are absolutely no tuning companies out there with the capability to change any parameters in the Toyota ECU. Piggy backs are another story.

The question is, is it worth the money and R&D to crack the IS-F ecu. I say no, demand just won't be there. |

That is a true statement. This is also true. If it took GIAC years to crack the 335i ecu it would take two or three times longer for the Toyota ecu, which is certainly not worth the time, money and resources. Sucks for us Toyota ECU folks.

forgot to ask earlier, but what camera mount did you use for your in car run? I'm digging it and that high revving engine with exhaust sounds blissful.
