GMP Performance - FALLOUT Track Day November 17th!!

We are pleased to announce that our FALLOUT track day on Saturday, November 17th. Join the GMP team and other European automotive enthusiasts for a fun filled day at the track. There is no admission charge for Saturday's events, and all ages are welcome. Feel free to bring your friends and family and join us.

Track Day - Saturday, November 17th 2012
Saturda's track day is held at CMP in Kershaw, SC. The Palmetto Motorsports Club has extended an exclusive invitation to share this day with registered GMP Performance clients. Palmetto Motorsports Club is CMP's private membership-only motorsports club and they have extended an exclusive invitation to share this day with registered GMP Performance clients. The intimate PMC format guarantees a minimum of five, twenty minute sessions, with additional sessions as time permits, all in one day.

Participants are grouped into three groups based on experience levels to insure the utmost safety.

Group 1: The DE (Drivers Ed) group is for novice drivers and only permits passing in designated "safe-zones" and includes instructional class-time and an assigned in-car instructor.

Group 2: The Solo group allows experienced drivers to run at a higher pace and overtaking is allowed in designated zones with a "point-by".

Group 3: The super-solo group is for racers and their racecars. Passing is allowed and participants can enjoy abundant track time for testing.

There will also be an opportunity for enthusiasts to get on track for Touring laps. A series of controlled speed laps will be performed for those looking to familiarize themselves with what its like to be on track. These laps will be held during the mandatory quiet hour at lunch.

Track Day Registration includes all of the following:
+an abundant amount of track time
+pre-event vehicle inspection at GMP (required)
+track wheel/tire transport to and from the track
+onsite track support (vehicle prep/wheel torque/tire pressure check)
+event T-Shirt - Please state your size when ordering.
+Complimentary Pre-Race Inspection - Please call for schedule

Track Day Schedule:
6:00am : Trackside Tech Inspection Opens
7:45am : Mandatory Driver's Meeting
8:00am : Morning Track Sessions Begin
12:00pm : PMC Luncheon/Touring Laps
1:00pm : Afternoon Track Sessions Begin
5:00pm : Track Sessions Concluded

A TrackDay Caravan will be leaving from GMP Performance at 5:45am. Approx. travel time is 1 hour and 30 minutes.We will arrive at the track by 7:15am to get through the gate and have the cars put through trackside tech. Our GMp team will be on hand to assist with trackside prep and tech.

Are helmets required for group 1? I ask because I think I'm too tall to fit in my car w/ a helmet on

Yes, helmets are required. The track has helmets available.

Depending on how tall you are there are a few ways to fit in with a helmet.

We can always get you some race seats installed with custom brackets to get you lower to the floor!

I'm just shy of 6'7" I'm going to try and see if I can borrow a friends helmet tonight to see if I fit. Not sure race seats are worth it considering I am not a track guy I just wanted to see how I do and see if I can crush some DCTs

How late are you accepting registrations for the solo group (non race car)? I'd like to attend but need another day or two to sort out my schedule.

We are accepting registrations until early next week so that there is enough time to preform the Track Inspection in our shop. This way if any issues are found they can be corrected in time for the Track Day.
