It looks like a very high-quality product.

Do you guys have any track data? Ambient air vs fluid temperatures, stock vs cooled?

Actually we have some really professional data. Data that was taken from our partners in South Korea. They have put this cooling package thru is paces more than anyone else to date. I will compile the data and post it up for everyone to see.

Definitely going to buy one, just trying to decide on which DCT fluid to get - SSP's (yours) or the Pentosin FFL-4 OEM stuff for the change.

Great looking kit! Now you guys just need to come up with something to keep oil/water temps under control at the track since nobody else seems capable of doing so...

If the engine oil was kept cooler, the coolant would also run cooler. There might only be need for one aftermarket cooler....

Ill have the guys look in to it.

On that topic has anyone used the Motul DCT fluid?

1) Can't seem to find this on your website. Do you have a link to the page? Trying to figure out the price of the kit.

2) Does this kit retain the OEM DCT cooler in the passenger's side lower air intake?

3) Your DCT cooler looks like it blocks a decent amount of the radiator; what is the effect on water temps?

4) How much weight does the entire system add?

That price seems reasonable considering the pan and oil cooler are close to $2,000 if bought separately.

Is the fan really necessary?

I have the same question. I can't imagine it adding much at speed. It would certainly add some flow when stopped or at low speeds, but I'm not sure how necessary that is.

Interesting product, Does it increase the fluid capacity? Can't seem to find that anywhere...

Also, any data supporting these claims vs the stock cooler?

If not, then I don't think anything will. If you can't get significant cooling by adding more loops through a heat exchanger, then I can't see any way to improve on the OEM cooler.

We currently use a 400cfm high speed fan in our kit. A fan works great up til about 80mph, after that they are pretty much no more. The fan works great in stop and go traffic, and at slower speeds to keep the air moving over the cooler. The fan will keep the DCT transmission fluid from 20-40F cooler all the time in the most severe conditions.

Our cooling package increases the stock fluid capacity by 2.5 liters.

Billet Pan adds 1.1 liters
Cooling core adds 1.0 liters
Lengths of -8AN lines add .4 liters

You can feel confident that all SSP products for the BMW DCT carry a 1 year replacement warranty from date of sale.

No other manufacturer will come close to that....
