I'm guessing at some point in the future Audi will switch from Torsen to something else, possibly a transaxle system similar to the GTR but I doubt they will ever drop awd in favour of rwd.

I thought you meant "if BMWs made RWD cars it would be lighter and under 3000 lbs".

1) Horsepower figures still make sales

2) This thing would cost huge money to produce. That lightweight material isn't cheap.
