2010 M3 Coupe
I want to know what everyone thinks of this deal.
2010 M3 Coupe ----------------------------- MSRP: $75,155 Residual : 49% Money Factor: .00075 Cash Cap Reduction: $2,983.96 (I don’t know why I got this) Rebate: $2,500.00 Money Down (after below fees): $2,458.52 I’m putting 5K down, which cover month one, some fees: Acquisition: $925 Documentation: $354 License: $255 1st month: $1,007.48 ------------------------- Total Fees: $2,541.48 The rest of the 5k ($2,458.52) is going to be the down payment. My adjusted cap cost should be $67,212,52 ($75,155 - $2,500 - $2,983.95 - $2,451.48). But on the lease information sheet my dealer put $67,941.04. I don’t know where the extra $728.52 is coming from. Any ideas? Anyways, at the adjusted cap cost of $67,941.04, here is my lease rate: Base: $942.89 Taxes: $64.59 Total: $1,007.48. It seems like a great deal. Any room for improvement? I have yet to negotiate. But it seems like the salesman has done just about everything possible to get the price down. Thanks for your input. |

12k , 10k or 15k miles a year? 36month lease? For comparison, I got my 2010 74k MSRP for $999 a moth, thats with $3000 DRIVE off. 36mo, 10k a year. I put an additonal 7 MSD's and got it down to $949 a month. |

I'm thinking that absent some screamin' deal (like the '08s in spring of '09) I'm not going with a 2010 when the same or comparable deal is available on a 2011, with the only difference being the $2500 rebate. edit - realized the money factor is better as well...
The good news is, after you get one you simply won't care what year the title says and will be incapable of wiping the grin off your face!

If MSRP is $75,155 and the dealer took off $2,983.96, your selling price is $72,171 before $2,500 spring credit. That means they are selling you the car for $3k over invoice of $69.2k. This is a terrible deal to be honest.
As the 2011s already arrived to dealer lot, I don't see why you can't get them to sell the car @ invoice, which is $69.2k before $2,500 credit and any downpayment. In other word, you should be able to pay the same monthly without any down payment at all. If you really wanted to reduce the amount further, consider putting down multiple security deposits, which will drop your monthly by another $50/mo. |

You can do better on 2010. I thought coupe MF was 50% on 2010, and for 12k miles gotta be 51%, so you are being hosed there too. If it is convertible, the 49% seems fine as 15K for Conv is 48%. Coupe is a lot better deal. But Alas some times people like us want convertibles! |
