No SMG!, E90 Coupe in Fall '06, Cabrio in Spring '07, AWD / Wagon pricing
In case anyone misses this information in the other thread, here is the E90 product bulletin update showing:
1) no SMG for the E90 in U.S. 2) E90 coupe will be released in Fall of 2006 3) Convertible will be released in Spring of 2007 4) E90 AWD/XI and Touring/Wagon prices 5) factory wheels options 3 Series (E90) Product Planning Bulletin Update |

Looks like the USA is Skipping SMG ( which isnt very nice in non M cars) and waiting for thr new dual-clutch ZSG gearbox ( similar to Audi's DSG gearbox ) that is supposed to come out with the 335i

I am glad that I didn't wait for the smg. DSG is really amazing...I testdrove an Audi A3 with DSG transmission. The car upshifts and downshifts in just a blink second. Also, the gear changing is so smooth and fast. Let's hope that BMW will offer the similar one in the future.

Manual tranny's are a minority, SMG would just be a small fraction of those cars. I bet they hardly sell any SMG's, especially the lesser model which is different to the tranny on the M3.
