How often does someone ask to buy your M3
So Ive owned my M3 for a little over 2 months now. Today i was approached for the fifth time by someone offering x amount to buy my M. How often does it happen to you guys and has it ever been an amount that you'd consider doing ?

The guy that I bought my M3 from called me a year later and asked if I wanted to sell it. I told him I loved the car and was not really interested in selling. I guess he got tired of his tricked out 1M..

Not the E90. Everyone wants to buy the E30s and the E36. One time, my wife got literally chased by a guy with a stack of bills trying to buy the 325is.

In 5 years? Once. I wish more people would ask to buy my car.

Not a single person. I get more questions about whether it's still running ok or have I had to replace the motor.

But it's probably because mine has a bunch of holes in it.

Probably doesn't count, but only once when I went to a dealership to check out an M4. The guy came out and the first words out of his mouth were, "I want your car, what's it worth to you?" Good sales tactic if anything, haha.

Twice.
First time was the first weekend I owned the car, sitting in traffic on the parkway and guy in the adjacent lane looked at me with a big smile on his face and made the "roll down the window" hand signal. When I did, he immediately asked if the car was for sale. Second time was two days ago. My wife and I were dropping off the Prius at Toyota to take care of a couple open recalls, and one of the sales guys came out to the lot and started swooning over the car. Told me he was looking to get an F80, but loved the E9X platform. Before long his friend joined and asked me if it was for sale. |

Never for my E90...but every other day or so when I had my E46 M3 (6MT). I've also noticed I get a lot less attention in my E90. When daily driving my E46, pretty much every day people would try to race me, or give me thumbs up, or leave a note on my windshield, etc etc. No one even looks at me twice in my E90, which I much prefer.

None but had a kid in a x3 with an m3 stripe in the grill race me so he could hear the v8. Gave each other the thumbs up. Get that all the time.

Living in a small rural town where tricked out diesels rolling coal are considered "performance" cars... twice. Both times while it was parked at work.
Maybe it's because of where I live but I actually get a lot of attention in the E92. Truck and SUV people ignore me but every ricer or Mustang/charger/challenger/camaro/Vette revs and tries to race at stop lights. Actually gets annoying cause every time it happens the car is cold and not up to temp so even if I wanted to I can't do anything. *
