Tail lamp malfunction ! Help!

I have a 2008 m3 and get the left tail lamp malfunction message, I have a 2010 lci conversion btw. I read the bulb carrier or socket is bigger than the bulb thts why it shows the message. The SIB NUMBER 63 02 08 doesn't work anymore because it didn't come up in the dealer this morning. My question is, is the updated bulb socket just a new one from the dealer? Did BMW fix this problem thts why the SIB number doesn't show up?

I found it by various searches on google. It was a thread on one of the BMW forums that had a link to a BMW document with install instructions. Thats all I can remember and I dont seem to have that file saved anymore. If I can I will see if I can get a picture of my car later today.

Here you go. This is the drivers side light, you can see the strip at the top.

LCI cars shouldn't have this problem as I believe it was seen in early E9x's.

No, I didnt see you have an LCI conversion. Those are LED taillights which have nothing to do with the bulb carrier issue.
