double din in my base m3

Looking to put a pioneer double din in my base model m3. No navi no Bluetooth non L7.
I've searched but not coming up with a good answer. One guy is saying I need to replace amp and add new speakers due to system being fiber optic. I wanna know if there is a proper harness besides the o e from metra which seems to work good in a 3 series not m3. And what are my other options?? Don't wanna hack up anything looking for a plug and play.
Any help greatly appreciated

Did you ever figure this out OP? I'm debating on just getting a stripper 08 and adding my own system to it.

It can be done. I have a Z130bt in my car (which originally had the hi-fi system in it).

Dynavin N6 looks promising. They ditched the CD player slot, so it has a perfect fitment in the dash. If i get a stripper, this is what I'll be installing. Can't be beat for under 1000.

I had the Dynavin N5 prior to putting in the Z130bt and I was not happy with it. Not sure how the N6 compares though. There is a thread in the E90post audio section about the N6 so you might want to check that out for more info.
