New member - new Car

Hello all.

New member and recently displaced from my 911 Cab that I had for 10 years. Had all of 44,000 km on it and has gone to a good home with my brother in law.

Lamenting over, I purchased a new AW M3 Cab and have had some Hartge ods done to it wheels, lip and sills. I was after a low key, discreet, custom look and I think it is so. It is the first BMW I have driven since my old 1988 M5 that was sold years ago.

I am very pleased - The BMW M program makes a wonderful car that touches all the bases.

They are Hartge wheels 19" - same as the body kit and wanted the car mods to be by the same tuner. We live in Canada - world of pot holes and frost heave...the car actually looks better live than in snaps. They make them in 20" and 21" to have a more radical look for sure but - hey I am not a kid anymore...

The tint is actually 20 - but I have to agree with you it looks like 35....in fact, I think the installer made a mistake because it is really quite dark. The interior is black.

Thanks for the comment on the wheels. My son and I poured over hundreds of photos from every internet source we could find. There were some wheels we liked a little better but didn't have a body kit to match - then nice body kit, then no wheels. I wanted a complete package. I was after a classic look to the car with a bit of an edge - weighed off 19" vs. 20" wheels for a week and in the end choose 19" which still fill the wheel well nicely at 8.5 ET 15 and 9.5 ET 22. Per my earlier post, she really looks better in person than the photos.

I got the Hartge stuff out of CGI in Miamii www.cgituning.com - where Pablo helped me out. From the receptionist, to Pablo to the shipping guys, they were top drawer. The Hartge website imho did no justice to the package of the E93 cab so it was a leap of faith from Pablo who had seen a car live in Miami to get me to pull the trigger. The guys on this forum really hated the photos when it was announced - but as you can see, it is really quite nice. Add it all up, painted and installed (by the local BMW delaer) about $ 7,000.00 Canadian.

I love the side sills.. how much are those? I assume they come unpainted? Do they just screw on from the bottom?

Car looks classy.

Better shot on the Sills - they came unpainted $ 600.00/ pr. Hartge sends it with Epoxy and the body shop used that plus two small screws in the wheel well to fasten it. It was the body shop at my BMW dealer who did the work and were very impressed witht the quality of the product.
