My new M3 arrived at the Dealership (NJ)!!!

Hey guys, first of all, I want to give mad props to skierman64 for notifying me that my M3 arrived. On a whim, he called my dealership and asked if any M3's were delivered today. After I called my CA, I confirmed that my car had arrived. Once again, thanks to skierman64!

Now for the details: My car arrived today and still has to be prepped (obviously!). The car was a little dirty, but I took a few pictures anyway. I met skierman64 at the dealership tonight and he has offered to post pictures as well. The lighting of the Interlagos Blue is a little affected by the flourescent lights in the BMW service department, but the color looks like it will look fantastic once detailed. The silver interior is a nice contrast. I hope you enjoy the pics and I'll post more once I take possession.

Oh, one more important thing. The Sales Manager called his BMW rep, and he said I can take delivery any day I want before OR after March 8th. The rep said BMW NA does not have any stipulatuions on releasing M3's before the 8th. I may pick up my car either Thursday, Friday or Saturday, depending when the detailing/prep is done.

Mine will be at the dealer on the 6th. Great shots. We have the same set up instead I got the AW. The interior looks sick! I know you are losing it. My dealer told me I could get her anytime as well but I can't get there until Sat anyway. Again Congrats.

does that have shipping blocks or something on the front? that loosk REALLY jacked up right now... i wasn't planning on lowering mine, but that's pretty ugly.

Just as AwesomeM3 said. I called the dealer just on a hunch to see if they got car in. They said they had one but it was already sold. I called awesome on the phone to say I was going over there to see the car, not knowing it was his. After he called the dealership, he found out it was indeed his car, I was already halfway to the dealership when I found out it was his car. Good news for all.

I agree with Awesome that the lighting in the dealer's service department doesn't do this color justice. My pics make the paint look purple-ish, but to the naked eye, it looks like a deep blue. I can't wait to see it outside in the daylight all cleaned up.

I have pics, but first I'll post a :42 second video of the sound of the car running. Because we were inside, it sounded loud and spectacular.

Yes, I think they didn't remove the shipping blocks yet. Good eye!

i just noticed no front plate BRACKET, I'm not sure if you care but if you do call them or show up in the AM as soon as they open and beg them not to put it on!!! thats my plan!! tell them they aren't responsible if you get a ticket but you are, I haven't run a front plate in 9yrs and no tickets so far

Yes, I can post the Hi-res pics. They're too big for the forum. Hold on, let me figure out how I want to do this.

I didn't take my SLR with me to the dealership, I wish I had, but I just grabbed a small Pentax digital. Seemed as if the lighting didn't agree with the camera as far as focusing. So, no promises for great photos. Plus the car was still dirty and has the plastic all over the seats and so on.
