replacing studs
what is a reasonable number of track days, track miles, laps, or seasons to use a set of wheel studs. know they are a wear item but how much? every 2 seasons maybe or 20 track days?

You can probably get away with doing it every other season if you're doing 10 trackdays per season, but I feel more comfortable putting on a fresh set every spring before the season starts. I feel this way because 1) they see a lot of action with two wheel changes per track event, 2) it's not uncommon for them to fail or break when they're tired/stressed, 3) my 75mm TMS studs are on the car year-round, and are therefore exposed to road salt/sand/grime in the wintertime.

I just replaced mine after a full season. Just so you know... it was a big PITA.
Regarding your question, I would ask your vendor about the replacement frequency.

Studs should be replaced every season if seeing regular track use.

I do mine yearly since it sees all four seasons....speaking of which, they are currently caked with salt
Depending on what Loctite you used, removing them can be INCREDIBLY annoying...I have messed up a few lug nuts in the process, so just make sure to change your lug nuts as well, or at least have extras.

But in all honesty, it's a bit too early for me to say how their longevity is. So far, very pleased though!

would like opinions on macht snell or other brands that dont require loctite to install so easier removal. also not sure which ones but have seen hex head ones so can use ratchet to remove.

It's not impossible, just so you know what to expect. Get a long open-ended wrench would be my advice!

If you blast them on with an impact and consistently over torque the nut then maybe 6 months. If you take care of them, properly torque them, don't bang the wheels on the threads and start the nuts by hand then they last much longer.
I got 2 years out of the Vorshlag 75mm studs before replacing but won't do that again. I don't remember those being a total whore to get out. I would immediately replace the studs on a corner if some nuts got loose on track. Especially the studs where the nut was still tight because they just took a beating.

No but it gets really old fighting with the front wheels all the time. Plus, you still have to change out the more expensive lugs just as often as the studs if you track your car.

So if I've never tracked my car and it currently has 95k miles on it and likely is on the original lugs, should those be replaced?

No its the constant taking on and off that we do with track wheels and the pretty ridiculous stresses we put on the lug bolts/studs on the track that causes them to stretch/fatigue. On a street car that only sees the lugs off when doing tire changes, I wouldn't sweat it.

As an example, my original front brake pads on my 330 lasted 65k miles. I'm lucky to get 1k miles from track pads. Your wheel fastners are seeing a lot more abuse and MUCH higher lateral loads. Probably 1G+ especially in cars with modified suspensions and r-comp tires.
Which is why if you are a beginner or intermediate...you can get away with longer intervals for wheel fasteners. IMO, as everyone has said...a year is about the limit. Anything longer could get ugly. It is highly likely that the wheel fasteners will last longer but why chance it. Imagine a wheel falling off at the limit of grip in a fast sweeper...

I'd wait till you see what wheels you're going to be running and if you need spacers, because you'll need longer studs/bolts if you are using spacers.
