Approx. 8 weeks.

Dropped-off in Munich June 15.

Pick-up in LA August 10.

I ordered mine on Dec 25th 2007 and got it on 05 March 2008.

I ordered mine on 9-13-2010, started production 9-21-2010. My salesman said that it should be at VPC on 10-16-2010 and then to BMW center in Houston, TX somewhere between 10/20 - 10/23, and then hopefully I can deliver on 10-30-2010. This waiting is killing me. At least it is faster than when I ordered my E46 M3, that took 16 weeks. I'm almost there.

Nine painful agonizing weeks but worth the wait. If I had to do it all over again I should have ordered the

suede headliner. Next M will definitely have it. Good Luck.

Mine's finally at VPC as of Oct. 17 and now estimated time of arrival at my BMW center is Oct. 24. I can't wait, then I can start sleeping again. I've been so excited, I haven't been able to sleep much.

We are in similar situations...ordered 9/28...finished production 10/15, currently at "Bimmer Heaven" waiting to catch a ride to the left coast. I doubt my car made the 10/18 NYK vessel (Essen). I hope I make the 10/23 WW Vessel (Porgy) or the 10/25 NYK vessel (Tokyo)....

Mine took 3 weeks. I lucked out since someone backed out, and had ordered everything I wanted except they ordered it with 19s instead of the 18s which I wanted. I took it, cause otherwise I was looking at 9 weeks minimum.

I think I win this, 9 months

My salesman wanted the deal, lied to me about allocation and got the deal done. Turns out they were in the process of changing over the the facelift (tail lights) and thus allocation would only come around in June. Needless to say I wanted to kill the salesman, but lo and behold, he was fired from the dealership. I got some new guy who was so pompous I didn't like him right away. Anyway, Car was finished on 14th June, arrived at port on the 22nd of July and tool delivery on the 30th of July, a full 9 months after the order. Needless to say, my last BMW from that dealer ever.

Scheduled for production: 9/21/2010
Production completed: 9/28/2010
Awaiting transport: 9/29/2010
Being transported to port of exit: 10/1/2010
At the port: 10/4/2010

After this the 800 number and website stopped updating, but my car is supposedly on Toledo, which according to WW has this schedule:

Depart Bremerhaven: 10/11/2010
Arrive Port Hueneme: 11/4/2010

My dealership said it takes another 7-10 days for VPC + transport, so if I'm lucky I should have it by November 11-14, for a grand total of about 14 weeks. Ouch.

This is a little different, but I ordered mine through military sales here in Germany. Ordered: 24 Sep
Production: Week 44. First week of November
ED: 25 Nov @ 0900. Sweet.
Got the VIN yesterday, now it seems official.

BMW sort of screwed me over though. My ED date was 27 Nov and I got a call yesterday from my salesman saying BMW canceled my ED on accident and then gave it to someone else!!!!! No explanation. I already had a room booked in Munich. The only other date they had was the 25th, but that was a work day. Long story short, got that day off and I get my car two days earlier!!!!! As long as they don't cancel it again.
