The last day, last drive...to the Porsche Dealer...

Hey guys,

It has been fun. My E92 has been one of the best if not the best cars I have leased/owned. Lease is up soon, not excited about M5 or M6, not sure about waiting 2 years for a "M4???". Drove a 991 S, really nice car, but not heads over heals better than the E92 on public roads. I need the space for golf clubs and stuff so I drove a Panamera GTS...awesome.

Going to pick it up today...will post pictures soon. I hope BMW doesn't bland down the M3 like the M5. Mostly, I was really disappointed with the look of the M5. I was really hoping for a more motorsport flared fender look.

Thanks,

Steve

Panameras are definitely an interesting looking ride. A lot of folks aren't in to them, but I think they look incredible. Congrats and enjoy!!

Having just bought a 2013 Panamera GTS 8 months ago for my mother I have to say you are getting quite a different type of beast to replace your M3. I love both cars very much but it is like comparing apples to oranges.

After driving the M5, the GTS is HOW THE M5 SHOULD DRIVE...naturally aspirated and handles on rails. Leave the huge torque and HP to Mercedes. 0-60 is not the be all and end all. I could have gotten a Turbo for the basically same price and still went GTS.

Full review in a few weeks.

Thanks.

I actually feel like the GTS drives like the big brother of the M3. Much more than the M5. I bought my mom an Accord

Which do you think is more fun to drive: the Panamera S or e92 M3?

I'm planning to buy a car in the next 6 mo and those two cars (used) are on the top of my list.

You just bought your mother a Panamera GTS! Sorry but from my reference that made me chuckle.

Not a huge fan of the looks of the Panamera, but darn does it feel good when it's being driven. Never driven the F10 M5 so can't speak much about it.

Congrats on the ride.

It's very common these days to see m3 drivers switching for a Porsche. In the last 6 months I witnessed two my self.

M3 no comparison. Panam S is a great daily driver but definitely isnt as fun as the M3

Watching the video makes me ready for a four door beast. Good video. Thanks for sharing.

Because the Panera bread looks much better than the M5.

Is the porsche underated? How the heck when down by 130 hp and heavier is it even hanging with the M5 is the above video? I mean sure the M5 gets ahead but not by nearly the deficit it should I would think.

You might have read wrong, the Panamera is a little lighter. Also has a slightly larger displacement. That being said, I have a feeling it would take the M5 on a rolling start.
