Start with the QFP and some sort of HNR. You can always add a seat, harness bar / cage, etc. after you get more comfortable.

Similar to what other people have said, however I would go straight to coilovers. Even babied dampers are going to have lost a lot of pressure after 85k Miles. Coilovers and camber plates will save you a lot of money on tires, and allow you to dial in the car. Coilovers are the most transformative on the e9x IMO given the soft suspension is soft. Makes the car a lot more enjoyable on the street as well. If you have the budget throw monoballs on as well.
Get your brakes sorted (pads, fluid, I've run PFC 11 on stock rotors and they are very good) along with a quick fit pro and you are golden. I ran basically this exact setup on my e9x. Tires are a personal choice, try a few and see what you like. Something like a PS4S or super sport are good at first as the limits are lower and they are nice and progressive, they will overheat quickly if you are pushing though and you will want to move up fairly quickly. |

If this is OP's literal first-ever track day, then yeah, any summer tire will be fine until he's more comfortable pushing the car harder. No use going crazy with tires to start as the ultra-sticky stuff tends to hide mistakes/bad technique and won't be very forgiving at the limit. I say start with the PSS or something similar, run them until they're bald, then move up to something stickier as you will hopefully be more comfortable by then.
