Engine and throttle feel extremely sluggish after service??
Had my spark plugs, Dinan air intake filter, engine oil, diff fluid, and tranny fluid replaced.
Picked up the car, about to merge on the hwy full throttle and the car was very sluggish and the throttle response was completely lacking. The throttle actually feels a bit strange, not "snappy" at all. The DSC also engaged once or twice at a very odd time. Any thoughts?? Have to call the dealer tomorrow morning.

Spark plugs would be the most likely suspect IMO. Perhaps not gapped properly? Although they come pre-gapped, so hard to believe unless they used the wrong ones.
You can confirm the intake filter is installed in a few minutes if you have some torx bits/screwdrivers. That sucks man; good luck. |

Any chance they overwrote your Dinan software and didn't tell you about it? Although, it sounds like the loss of power your are describing is more pronounced then a simple change of 10whp or so...

Even if the hose wasn't connected well, that shouldn't cause the issues described. A vacuum leak will only happen on the manifold side.

Hope you get it sorted. How many miles have you put on since the service? CEL may not show up immediately if your car was reflashed, but am guessing if they reflashed the car that would show up on the service invoice.

I believe they did.
I think they used the wrong plugs. On the work order my SA said it was the right part numbers.

There was no need to flash the car, so I doubt that's it. They only had to reset some of the service time indicators in the iDrive. Taking it back Thursday morning.

I just got my 08 M3 back from the dealer, having its 60K service and check done. Oil + filter, transmission fluid change and software update. Car feels MUCH better, so it must be the plugs. Do they need a break-in period for the electrode to wear in? I had those changed about 6k miles ago but noticed no difference in power (although the electrode was basically non-existent on the old plugs, as they had 52K miles on them, original plugs)

You wouldn't happen to know the part number would you? I searched for them on the board. I would check all of them.
