OFF-TOPIC: Newest (F10) 5-series renderings

I saw these today at bmwtoday.de via auto-motor-und-sport.de

I think they are the best renderings of the f10 to date.

The pictures seem to be an altered f01 (7-series) because I see just as many similarities to an f01 as I see differences.
Plus the reason I think these are the best renderings is that the front bumper is basically identical to that leaked front bumper image we saw a little while back....

Looks decent, def a better rear end than the E60. Not sure I like the "wedge" in the hood.

As soon as the wild Bangle styling grows on me and starts to look tame, BMW does a complete 180 and tones the 7 and 5 down to Lexus blandness. Every new bit of news coming out of Munich, makes me think that this is going to be my only BMW.

I agree. Of the current car offerings of BMW, the M3 in both coupe and sedan, the 3 series coupe and the current 5 series are the only ones I like. This new 5 doesn't look so appealing and the 7 is pretty ugly too.

Mind you, the new Z4 looks good and so does the X5. I guess it's a hit and miss with BMW these days.

Definitely nice progress, the E60 just never looked right to me. The trunk looked like it had a tumor.

Now, I await the new 6 series. If they lighten it just a bit, an M6 might be in my future.

I love the Z4 coupe, it's one of the sexiest designs I've seen grace a BMW. I also love the look of the X5, the X3 looks like a turd, and I still can't figure out what to think of the X6.

The E39 seems to be one of those cars that are just timeless. I think the E46 will be the same way.

I hated the Bangled 5 when it first hit the streets. But I think it was just a bit ahead of its time, because it has aged very well, and I LOVE the look of the M5. I like the M6, but its a bit too soft looking for me. They do need to lighten that car, its a pig, but I doubt it'll happen.

As a previous E60 owner, I didn't love the look until a few months into ownership. But the more I looked at it, the more I think it's a phenomenal design. It fits right in with other designs today, and it came out so long ago.
