2011 M3 owners with Alpine Angel Eyes please chime in.
Hi All,
I have been having some strange behavior with my Alpine Angel Eye and was wondering if others are having the same issue. - car is a 2011 model - day time running light is enabled from idrive The problem/issue I am having is that each morning when I start my car I would get a warning about my driver side day time running light/parking light (the side that has the resistor). The warning message would appear for only about 5 seconds and then goes away. I do not get that warning message again through out the day after that. Here is what I have noticed: - If I plug the original light bulb back in in the morning, I do not get the message either. - Alex was sent me a second resistor piece and the behavior is the same. - My brother has a 2009 328i and his car doesn't have this funny behavior with any of the resistors My question is do others with 2011 model and the Alpine AE have this same behavior or is there something wrong with my kit/headlight? Thanks for any help. Other than this small issue, the alpine HID AE is amazing! |

Same thing, waiting for Alex to send me the new part so I can hook it up and be good to go. He told me it is an issue on cold starts with the new models, a simple fix and he'll send everything to you for free. I'd send him or someone else from Alpine a PM (I know Alex's car just got hit so he might not be checking here regularly while taking care of business).

Thanks for the replies guys. I saw Alex's thread about his car being hit. I feel sad for him and the car. I have contacted him on pm and he has replied also so I will just wait for the fix.

The same thing happened to me when I had my HID halos and my car is an 08. Happened the same way you describe it, it would only come up When I first start up my car and then it would go away.
Btw I didn't have alpines HIDs. |

Hey sorry guys, I know I am very behind on the PMs due to the recent accident I had, but yes, this problem has been fixed, if you have this issue, feel free to email us at "warranty@alpinemss.com" title it "2011/2010 Driver side error fix" and put your full name and address in the email, it might take some time since I am backed up. Sorry guys!
