Watch those skid numbers change with a proper tire. The M3 has under sized tires for its weight . I think this review is awesome for a car that's been in production for 5 years nearly keeping up to the latest vette. A few simple modifications and you have a great contender ........ keeping the back seats and a whole stack of money.

Gutted exhaust, tune, meth, intake, intercooler, piping, hybrid turbos.

Hybrids are not necessary for high power. Other members run approx 400whp on stock turbos. Rail pressure and lpfp manipulation will yield closer to 500whp with hybrids.

Overall the car is reliable. Most issues come from emissions equipment. Will be hitting the track in march, should run 11s.

I don't understand this review i remember watching it . First they fail to use the launch on the M3 then fail to mention the M3 has way better horsepower per liter than the stingvette : 103.5 hp/l vs. 72.6 hp/l , +30% is no small difference. So yes the M3 has worse mpg but not on a track. the stingray has a bigger engine but not much more to show for it. So what about the LT4 6.2L SC V8 you tell me, well put a SC in the S65 then we compare apples to apples. And you are right about the tires. With a few mods on the M3 tires, suspensions the stingray is just allright.

From the side any Vette no matter what gen looks like a sliced sausage at the rear and a flat wedge at the front. Ok a bit less flat on the front now but still primitive looking. It's like it lost its rear chopped off by a giant press and i'm always trying to imagine how the missing part would look. lol.

Yeah, I'm not really sure why they included the M3 in that test. I get that the C7 Corvette is a newer car, but it seems like all they do in the video is just talk about the Corvette rather than compare it to the M3.

And why they chose the Lime Rock Park M3 is beyond me...

A set of 275s up front solves any understeer issues. The issue with the E92 M3 is the tire size. The Vette is a lighter car with a lot more tire, what kind of outcome were these people expecting.

my roommate has the stingray and had many many opportunities to drive it.
Its a beast and hard to really compare it to an m3.
Imo, In terms of daily driving the m3 is the clear winner with casual tracking and has all the capabilities. The stingray grabs a lot of attention due to its design and because my bro did a muffler delete and its loud and it seriously rocks.
In terms of numbers its easy to say stingray wins.
As for 0-60, it was rather slow because it has so much power in the rear wheels that it has a hard time catching grip before we actually move and we had fairly new PSS tires on it.
It depends on what your looking for: if you want attention, feel the raw power, torque is crazy good, shift gears pretty damn fast, and braking power is actually very very good, excellent track (ready out of the box pretty much) --> then i can probably say get stingray.
If you want more toned, powers there, amazing downshifts sound, mature yet sporty look, pleasure of driving it as a daily --> then prob m3.
My concern about my m3 is having to maintain this m3 especially those actuators, rod bearings, etc. and the torque that i wish i had.
I use my m3 as a daily and so does my brother (his stingray) but i guess best advice is to test drive it with open mind and consider what your looking for.

Maybe i'll take a pic later to show u side by side of what it looks like.
I'm looking into getting the 991 GT3 / RS (if i can afford this) down in the future.
Hope this helps.
But most importantly, enjoy what you have and enjoy the drive!
