Thanks for the tip MK!
Based upon the Canadian order guide, power seats are now standard. Additionally, M-Drive is bundled with Nav. As I was born without a gene for direction, I need the Nav system. With my military direct order I was hoping to be able to custom order without those items. It is a good thing the roof is CF. It should help make up for the increased weight of the Nav/Seat motors/Individual Audio speaks. (I just have to listen to that system!) |

Anyways: I do not believe it is a coincidence that you can have M-Drive combined with all the options that include a screen, while not with the Radio Professional that does not have a screen. But, in order to be sure of this I'd like to know what option "602" is, as I mentioned, there are no detailed explanation in the pricelist to what that is, and it is not listed on my orderconfirmation from BMW.

I would want EDC for sure -- I'm going to get the Bilstein EDC cockpit control set up for my 335. I am nervous about M-drive and the further gadgetry attached to the steering.

Ilron you are correct. M Drive will only be available with the extra monitor on the dash, as this is the only way to see your personal settings. |

Although there is no doubt DCT will be faster and more efficient than I can ever be, I am concerned that it will take away from the involvement and turn it into a videogame-like experience in the long run. I am sure it would be fun at first, but I am concerned that I might miss being able to manually disengage/engage the clutch and all that. I really need to drive it, but even then, I am not sure if a limited 20 minute test drive will be telling exactly. I'd be interested in hearing what other people think about this--especially people who have lived with SMG for a considerable amount of time...

I'm very curious how the steering will feel of the car does not have the reconfigurable steering. Will it be set in the middle? Also, will it be adjustable by the dealer with their computer?
I appear to be in the minority in that my car will be ordered with very few (if any) options. -Adam |

why buy an m3 without m-drive? edc may be considered superflous, esp if you plan to fit aftermarket suspension but if not and if you live around here where we have crappy roads, EDC will come in most handy!

I'll have leather, 19s and a key fob as well (since we now have a ridiculous 'start' button). |

My main concern with DCT is the launching. I don't think the current US M5s have launch control. Though I could be wrong. But if they don't then the M3 might not either. |
