OS Giken Super LTD

After I've been racing with super cars for quite sometime and found out that my wheels spun a lot with ESS VT2 in first till third gears. Last week I finally swap M-differential to OS Super LTD. The outcome is SO MUCH BETTER!. First gear spin very little and 2-3 gear not spinning at all moreover the car handles a lot better in curve.

So no variable lock diff
Is this a fully open Quiaffe you went with? 100% lock?

yes 100% lock, no noise at all. easy to drive

What do you have it setup as locking and ramp wise do you know? Did you use m5 axles or did you buy the os kit or have the stock ones milled? Do you know what you set the lash at for your old gears or did you change the gears? I'm assuming not since it's blown. Thanks! I'm tuning my OS and trying to get the right amount of lockup and ramping. It came with too much ramping and would make noise here and there but with great locking. It's a tradeoff I guess?

100% lock?! surely (and hopefully) not ;-)
think about what the percentage means or describes. if you have understood that you will know why "100%" makes no sense and would be useless!


do you have spec-s or a custom spec-x setup?

i didn't like the os giken in my E92 compared to the other clutch type lsds out there.
i tried spec-s (that did not lock at all, felt like an open unit): http://www.m3racing.de/e92umbau.html#3
and after complaining the weak performance i got some other parts and i tried a custom spec-x (which resulted in a massive NVH issue and way too much lockup):

so it would be great to know what setup you actually got. maybe osg found a setup that works in the meanwhile as my units setup two years ago was a joke!


and have you ever driven another clutch type lsd an a sports car or it the osg the first clutch type unit?
