You already paid it forward by not driving it enough.

Well, there's at least two of us with the "creepy" thought.
I was thinking of posting the same thing, but decided just to let go ....

Then there's the legal liability it could open.

I'm with "owner doesn't need the added peace of mind. (Just) leave a note ..."

Well, that's why we all have opinions gentlemen. I personally would absolutely want someone to contact me about a USED car and tell me it's REAL HISTORY. Fuck a carfax Lol. Particularly a purchase of this magnitude and a car that BMW "picks and chooses" what they want to cover under warranty. I would be grateful to know it's not a ticking time bomb and as we all know from this forum,14k miles is not an indicator of shit with these cars. But if your opinion is to live in the dark when not needed then you are entitled to it.

No "creep" in it whatsoever LMAO. It's called passing on a blessing and/or being nice. A lost art/skill based on this forum at times and CERTAINLY in this Country nowadays.

I've been looking for the guy who bought my Z. It's nowhere near as expensive as your M, but at 35k miles for an 07 (plus a ton of mods), I just wanted to let the guy know he has nothing to worry about. I left a mod journal, though and a note saying to enjoy, lol!

Is this like trying to find out who is now dating your ex? You want to find the guy to give him insider tips?

bah, dont listen to these nay-sayers, i think what your doing is the nicest thing ever.

the new owner of the car is lucky to get a car that has been taken care of so well.

good news is if he decides to do any modding / communicating online, chances are quite high he'll end up here.

good luck finding him ( ... maybe its a her! lol! )!

I had listed my previous vehicle up on Autotrader but ended up trading it in. However, even after informing Autotrader of the no-sale(refund from ad cost), they didn't take it down. Months later, the person who bought it from the dealership contacted me(he thought I was some scam artist using someone else's photo and trying to sell a vehicle). It ended up being an awesome conversation(he travelled cross country to pick the vehicle up) and he was glad that it was well taken care of. I also left a tune on the vehicle and although he had a suspicion, it was never confirmed. So he was happy to learn of that(stock was about 200bhp and the tune bumped it to 245 whp, so it's not a small jump). He definitely got a deal with all my mods ;x

I just bought an M a week or so ago and bumped in to the original owner here. It was nice getting the piece of mind. However, the percentage of M owners that use this forum is very low - the chances of you finding him are slim.

And to the guy that had 30k of repairs done to his car. Damn, so shady man. You might want to be careful sharing that info though. If you misrepresented that to the seller, he'd likely sue you and win... I know I would if I were put in that position. Jeez, I go around and tell potential buyers of every scratch on the car and how it happened... I could never do something so dishonest.

Only because life has a way of switching shit up. I'm actually WAY happier with my choice of enthusiast car replacement than I EVER thought. "If you wanna make God laugh, tell 'em your plans"- anonymous.
There, another great quote Lol

To each his/her own. Just another one of those things that make this forum interesting/entertaining and a good read...to say the least. Lol

My opinion is that I think you left a bag of white powder in the trunk hidden, about a kilo in size and you're just trying to get it back hahaha.

Seriously though, I said it before but I'd love to meet the guy we got our car from. Only had 8k miles but still like to know the history.

I wish I could find the original owner of my car so I could find out all the bad crap they did to it.

At least it will be well taken care of now.
