Talking DRB Motorsports Rear Exhaust System

when Boost Logic designed this for us, they had weight reduction and flow in mind. With a 28 pound weight reduction it is one of the lightest T304 systems on market. We were going to make fancy tips, etc. But we decided functionality and simplistic was best for a more raw cut to the chase type system.

thanks for the feedback, however they are made here in the USA individually welded by hand..nothing cheap about it. If we wanted to go super flashy we sure could have, I used to race SCCA and having functionality/performance was always important to most driving enthusiasts..drone is not bad at all and is very tolerable for DD. It is a large market for exhausts, however Boost Logic has a great repuation for making some of the finest Turbo systems and exhausts for Ferrari, Lambo, GTR and Porsche...www.boostlogic.com

+1

Remus has the sexiest tips (no homo), sounds incredible, two versions (Sport & Race), canisters look GREAT, and is cheaper to boot

Sorry man, but if you want to sell that exhaust, you're going to have to come in to the game with a much lower price level (which STILL might not be a possibility since the Megan exhaust is insanely cheap). People have been trying to tell you this since you first posted the info about this exhaust months ago, so please don't take offense. I'm just trying to point you in the right direction from a business stand-point...

glad to know you know everything on what exhausts sell for, $799 is under cost..it actually looks good on the car. I have shown it to several exhaust shops here in Austin and they all like it..

If this exhaust came in at $8-900 they would sell like mad. Better quality than the Megan, and not as insanely priced as all the rest. You would corner the market. Hell, I might even buy one.

honestly, the feedback here in Austin among GTR owners, other M3 owners, and auto enthusiasts like the simplicity of it. Everyone that has driven the car with stock exhaust and then DRB exhaust can feel a difference in power. Thanks stainless, if we would have made 25 from the factory versus just 10 I could get away with $1100-1200...PM me maybe we could work something out..

I don't get holding back on the design of the tips as well.... Hell just give them a slant cut or something.... Just looks to rushed or unfinished to me

Sounds good though, Good Luck

004 highest

005 lowest

For what it's worth, I heard this exhaust yesterday at the track. It sounds killer. It has a sofisticated muscle sound. Sure the tips may be a little stark compared to sport type tips but I'm sure something could be worked out with them.

try weight, modest gains, reputable fabricator/tuner...i would be willing to ship a few of these out at a few bucks over cost to prove a point..

This exhaust was at the track on Saturday and sounded pretty mean. I'd get it if I had an e92.

stock exhaust was done at 4pm 98 degrees, new one was installed afterwards the following morning. let it warm up so the revs could go 8,000 then did it..most tuners do this. The stock run the car had been sitting for maybe a few hours I reckon, but I dont sit around Boost Logic 7 days a week with a clock monitoring the 5-7 cars that use their dyno day in and day out. They are 30 miles from my shop on the other end of Austin...between the 1100 hp 997 project, 1200 whp GTR project, Lambo Gallardo twin turbo and then throw in my company wimpy M3...needless to say our exhaust car had very narrow slots to get on their dyno...

Did you have a chance to test fit it on an E90?

I think you are missing the point. The legend of the runs between that time do not make since Run 4 done the day before had highest number (in which you say stock exhaust). If what you said above is the case in which 4 was higher then that says the next run "5" (when DRB exhaust was installed) in that runfile LOST power. I would submit the whole runfile to the dyno database for further review along with AFR and timing data. I can make an M3 on my dyno - do what yours did simply by running it cold / vs. warm. The M3 tends to adapt up after a few strong passes.

Either way - aesthetically that exhaust canister looks more like something you'd find on a 350Z or EVO and won't appeal to the average BMW owner with what's current out there. I assume you plopped down some capital and purchased a bunch of these from boost logic and you are sitting on them now frustrated. You unfortunately are going to learn a lesson in economics and SWOT analysis - the target market / price / competition in these exhausts make this one unfortunately undesirable. At a 1k BIN on ebay price point something between normal desirable exhaust' and Megan you might make this exhaust sell enough.

ah i see your point, then reverse of what my thought process is on the dynometer graph..it makes power, ask the dozen or so people here that have driven it...
