You can google translate their website for the concept. Suppose noises and vibrations are dampen.

To be honest, I don't know if it does anything. It looks better than the stock piece and is cut from a solid piece of Aluminum Alloy.

CF Driveshaft Installation

Exhaust off, Heat Shielding off

Clean!

Difference of 10lbs, uses the stock bolts. Subframe didn't need to be dropped to remove the stock 2 section shaft, but had to be dropped to fit the 1 piece CF shaft.

I had put on new tires (F80/F82 Spec 255/275 PSS) and it has been raining, so give me a bit of time for a proper review.

My initial thoughts
- Minor increase in NVH (less than Solid Subframe mounts)
- Throttle response is quicker and has a more direct feeling. The Supercharger feels like it spools faster and harder.
- After the car comes to a full stop, you get a funny sensation in the brake pedal like something is winding down. Perhaps from the inertia of the shaft or not having a giubo. Race car feeling

Lots of upgrades here! Nice job!

How would you say solid subframe bushings / poly diff combination faired? Am intrigued by this combination vs going all solid / or derlin for differential.

Nice looking car.

But glad you ditched that wing...it looks pretty bad. Way too small for the car. And it's a street car...so yeah...

Solid Subframe Mounts are a MUST for our cars, whether you choose to supercharge or leave it NA. It changes the way the car feels, such that you can sense more of when the rear tires are going to slip. The Diff bushings compliments the Solid Subframe Mounts, but is where the NVH can increase, because that's where you can limit movement.

Solid Subframe Mounts don't make noise, so I chose this route because I don't want an insane amount of diff whine.

If you ONLY change the OEM Rubber Mounts to Solid Subframe Mounts, and keep everything else as stock, I seriously think there will be ZERO NVH increase.

Red face

Fall-Line Motorsport CF Driveshaft Review

The Good
- Installation does NOT require additional parts. Just uses stock bolts from the OE Shaft.
- There's an immediacy and urgency to the car's throttle input/output, it's like that you're in Sport Plus Throttle Setting in Comfort mode. Any delays/lag/slack that was there before, all gone.
- In Normal driving, the wife does not seem to notice the change

The Bad
- The NVH increase for the CF Driveshaft is SPEED based, while the whistles and whine of my supercharger is RPM based. The floor of the car will begin to have a vibration/noise (hum) starting around 110km/hr and will continue to increase as the speed rises. If you have an exhaust drone, that will for sure compliment it nicely I'm going to see if I can get used to it. For now I'm more intrigued by it than annoyed by it, Because Racecar

Thoughts
- Will I be able to break the Shaft? I'm not into launching the car (anymore), so maybe that's safer? I don't know how much torque this piece can take.
- Test drove my buddy's F80 M3, and that CF Driveshaft sure don't tell you that it's there.

Further Thoughts
- The Drone is unbearable at 150km/hr
- The Drivetrain has firmed up. Shifter has lost slack, the vibration of the shifter has changed. The Clutch point feels less vague.

Yeah I would have a quick check just to see if nothing else is causing those issues.

Yeah it wasn't there prior to installing the shaft. I had my buddy drive the car before and after the installation. We both agree it's the shaft doing it, because I don't have an aftermarket exhaust and even though I got new tires (PSS), they wouldn't drone at 150km/hr.

Interesting. What kind of laws are there in HK about modifying your car? It even impacts cosmetic mods? Do you have to revert back to stock with each inspection? However frequent or not that may be.

That sucks.

Like the weight loss and the increased responsiveness but disappointed to hear about increased driveline noise. That is a serious bummer.

There are guidelines to TD (Transport Department), but whether or not it's followed by the Police, is up to the Police. The Police can tow your ride on the grounds of suspicion of illegal modifications or street racing.

My buddy has gone to court because his front lip on his E46 M3 was so thin and low (Varis or APR, forgot) that the judge said that if he had hit a pedestrian, it may cause additional hurt/damage. This is the grounds of illegal cosmetic modification. GT Wings can hook onto a pedestrian and drag them, etc etc. It's up to the police/judge's imagination.

Yes it does suck.
