How did the pick up go?
On an aside, just came in from starting up the M to circulate fluids. On one hand it is hard to not be driving the car during the winter after listening to the exhaust purr once again. On the other hand, with the shape our side streets are in, I am not sure I would have been that successful. How is it going for you guys who are running them with winters? |

I am driving mine almost everyday...other than keeping it clean the past few days, it is amazing and a blast to drive. I was a little bit skeptical about driving the car year round - until I tried it -and now I can't imagine why I wouldn't drive it!! The traction control helps in the deeper snow and the tires are quite grippy even when pushing a little bit...just hints at how much MORE fun it willl be in the dry!!

The M3 has been fun most winter days but with the weather being the way it is now, I find the snow too soft in the less cleared parking lots and neighborhoods. I've had a few close calls with getting stuck with the LM25s but planning out my routes has helped. I do have a Pathfinder as well but the M3 is way too much fun for me to be ignoring.
And oh yeah... I can't stand having a dirty car. I'm spraying my car down every 2 days when it gets gross outside. I've also got 4 or 5 windshield washer fluid bottles sitting in the garage ready to go.

Hey Glenn...I didn't even know he was engaged. That must be why he is quiet...lol.
Jack, start rippin some doughnuts in the slush. I remember the best part of my day when I had my e46 M3 was powersliding into my parents driveway. I am seriously starting to rethink parking the car for the winter. The 02 Civic just doesn't have the same fun factor. The only thing is that I am pretty sure I will end up annhialating my Vorsteiner front end. Have to see. On a side note, I was test driving diesels in November...comparing the X5 to the GL350, and, well, we decided to give a try to the dark side. GL350 is waiting to be picked up. I really was hoping we would go for the X5, but when we took it on an extended road test to Calgary and back, I only got about 640km on the tank. Not that impressive considering my old X5 3.0si could do 600Km on gas. The GL blew the X5 away on mileage (even after compensating for the extra 20L tank capacity). The only thing is....it's a damn boat...lol. MB needs to think about offering an adjustable suspension across the board at the very minimum. Anyhoo, its my wife's car anyway...lol. So, if you don't mind me showing up in a beaten up 02 civic at the official Edmonton e9X m3 wand wash meet... |

hey guys,
would my Spyder fit into your wash meet? it looks like sh** right now, and it's in dire need of a wash... not that i'm too anal about how clean it should be, but it always hurts to look at her when she's all covered in slush / salt... i'll keep an eye on this thread, and might see you there! Pat |

Just letting you guys know, apparently there's laser on the highway. I've never been hit till tonight a few minutes south of Leduc. Thankfully I had my trustworthy Laser Interceptor to save my ass.
Since Puckmaster is picking up an M3 soon, we should check it out and make an excuse for a winter meet and greet.

I will be there rocking my 02 Honda Accord! Driving on these roads makes me happy that I am not driving my M3 but I sure as hell miss it. I have it parked a couple of hours away from here so I just look at pictures of it every once in a while and say wow, that's a nice car! haha

Hey Guys,
I'm looking at buying an M3 (2010) in a couple of months. Do you guys have any advice on which dealership will give the best price/which SA I should talk to? How much should I expect for discount/ should I negotiate for? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks,

Man that is a tough one. Each dealership seems to have hit and miss days
Lets see if any of the locals that bought here in Edmonton say I got mine in Calgary |

I bought mine at Edmonton BMW but only because my friend was working there at the time. I figure if you bitch and moan enough when buying or coming in for service, you can get a fair treatment. At least that's what I did. lol.
I've heard good and bad from both locations. I'd just pick which ever one you're more comfortable with or is more convenient. Otherwise I tell most of the people I know that the Calgary dealerships are more willing to negotiate on pricing.

I got mine in Nov from Edmonton BMW. I had been looking at both, but I found that at Bavaria I was not treated the same, and on top of that, I was pressured into putting 2k down (I wasnt going to but I had an appointment to run to) and after being assured that it was refundable and only to hold that particular car, I tried to get it back and was not successful.
Edmonton BMW on the other hand had the GM call me and tell me they valued my business, and offer me a much better deal on the car than I had initially negotiated. At that point the choice was clear for me. On the plus side, I did get a credit at Bavaria after much hassle and negotiation and I will be doing some upgrades come spring time. |

I do find the ZCP enticing, I would only want that package cause it comes with the CSL rims. In terms of the remapped EDC and what not, I don't think I will be using that function within the city, unless I track.
Btw, I just secured my interest on a Monte Carlo Blue M3 Edition, pretty much loaded (except for EDC).
