6spd w/ MDM....good launch control? or no?
I was just wondering, never tried it. but since MDM allows you to slip a bit without DSC interfeering right away...can it be used for launch control?
Dont want to try it yet because i dont feel like launching my car and then stalling out, possibly beating on the car. But has anyone tried this?

I've tried with both MDM on and traction completely off, you get a better launch with it off. MDM is too restrictive, and I've had it kill fuel going into 2nd gear multiple times and twice going into 3rd. MDM is too conservative in my opinion, although I almost always have it on.

That is what the salesman told me when I went for a drive with him that MDM is meant to be a launch control for fast launches.
However, it allowed no slippage at all and the car braked very hard shifted from 1st to 2nd at 8400 rpm and then abruptly sprung forward. Seemed like momentarily it cut fuel off. |
