M3 Amateur Lightweight

Without removing the seats, how much weight do you think you can make the M3 lose through lightweight parts (such as available body panels, wheels, etc)? Love to hear some ideas!

Seats is the easiest way. Unless you want to get crazy in the engine bay, there are more than a few things I can think of you don't "need"

Speakers, AC, All Mats and extras in interior and in trunk and all the random plastic trim pieces here and there but nothing major.

Trunk and Hood are already aluminum so you'll shave a few pounds with CF pieces but nothing major.

Full exhaust system like the Akra, but its on the low point of the car. Unsprung mass will be the best hit here. Lightweight BBK and Very light Forged 18" monoblock wheels as well as a not so heavy tire like the PS2 (I think it only weighs something like 25lbs)

I don't think Coilovers or suspension will save as much like past models did, since the shocks are already made of aluminum

Here is a tool to calculate an almost exact number. It all depends on how much you want to spend.

A lightweight battery and tray such as this set-up only weighs 17lbs. MUCH lighter than the 60lbs stock battery.

What makes that battery so light weight? Would you be able to sustain more electronics with that battery?
