Scan - Autoweek 4/21/08 M3 "DriversLog"

Nothing we don't know, but good to read. Interesting to see more praise for the steering, after all the early negative press. The end of the article is cut off, but I could not find it elsewhere in the mag.

Thanks, Greg. The bottom was cut off on my issue as well, and last I checked it had still not been posted on their web site...

It is amazing to see so much confusion around how vehicle weight is reported. My understanding is "curb weight" does NOT include driver. And we pretty much know that if you weigh this car with full tank of gas and without driver, you will read <3600 lbs on the scale. So, how did they end up with 3704 lbs for curb weight?

Lucid, that was one of the questions asked to Mr Larry Koch of BMW NA. He couldn't tell me the what recipe they used when getting the "official" weight of the car.

However, I'm very curious and have access to scales at work, I may try weighing my car there.

That would great!

One owner already weighed his at <3600 lbs I think. And one of the magazines arrived at something similar when they weighed it during a test last year.

I'm fairly conservative on car colors but I would have thought that SpkGraph and BB interior would look good.
