$1900 seems high. I helped my friend replace his front rotors, pads and sensors last Saturday. He got the parts from Getbmwparts.com I think he paid around $850.00. He was going to get them from Tirerack, but they were around $100.00 more.

Many dealers will quote you MSRP for parts only and then discount it somewhat if you want them to do the work (although still cheaper to DIY). You may want to call the parts counter directly and see what price they give you or check online at getbmwparts.com. At 42k, do you really need new rear rotors and pads? You can easily check it yourself.

i almost immediately put on a BBK and yanked off my entire front rotors/calipers/pads and also the same on the rear. they had 2500 miles on them of which almost 1000 was highway back from Spartanburg. I will sell them.

I also have a set of front rotors and full set of pads for sale. I would check the rotor thickness. My guess is they are fine. You can run a dozen set of pads thru a set of rotors at least on the track.
