Welcome Whitefox! Don't believe we've enjoyed your introduction followed by a nice couple of pictures yet, did we...?

Replaced my shredded stock plastic and felt parts with deansbimmer's aluminum undertray. Brilliant solution!

Do tell. Where did you power it from? And your mount? I have MirrorTaps, BlendMount and a Uniden R3 ready to go on Saturday. Always eager to learn from experiences of others.
I used this thread as a guide: Hardwiring Your Radar Detector ***DIY*** https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=136245

Power comes from the green/white wire on the second bank from the drivers side as described in the thread. The only thing I did differently was to use the Valentine 1 wire tap that comes with the OEM hardwire kit (no solder). Hardest part for me was accessing the 10mm bolt for the ground wire. I'm using the original windshield mount with suction cups.

FYI that’s wrong. It will indicate add 1qt of oil which is less than 1L
I've always poured in the full "liter" never had an issue. Realistically we're never getting a full liter anyways due to all the oil left behind unless you wanna stand there for an hour and letting it drip out

I love that we can because our current plate isn't very nice looking.

Loving those wheels, look much better on the e9x than the F80. Lightweight and forged as well, can't go wrong! Did you buy them used? I often check the f8x section classifieds but never see them.

bought the wheels used
513m's don't always show up so you have to just jump on them
right after i purchased my set, i saw a new listing on the f80 forum with tires.. that listing went away in 1 day

i found mine on craigslist of all places
the seller is definitely an enthusiast and the wheels were in near perfect condition
his M coupe had HRE wheels and he had a spare set of Rays CE28's stacked in his garage

i think i saw a square set of 513m 18x10 rear's for sale yesterday
i don't know if the 18x10 et40 works on the front of the e9x or not though

I need to do this. Will it fit in the overhead compartment of a plane? I'm flying through Dallas on Saturday. I'm sure deansbimmer would bring one down to Love Field for me.

2008 e90 M3
seller had oil tested in Sept/Oct 2017 at 54,050 miles
lab said "great report"

i bought the car in May 2018 with 57514 miles
replaced rod bearings at 58,692 miles this week
with BE rod bearings and ARP bolts

and this is the condition the rod bearings were in
(they're not in any particular order)
i wanted to do it as insurance and for peace for mind
now i'm really glad that i did it

is there a master thread to post rod bearing condition?
