Remember Tokyo Extreme Racer?
Has ther been a legitimate successor to that style or racing game? I loved the orriginal concept of open world driving and how you challenged teams for races to get to the top. I miss it, might dig out the PS2 and hook it up for another spin.

Funny you posted this as I was thinking the same thing. They ended up releasing there last title for the Xbox 360 called Import tuner challenge back when the system first came out.

I remember Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero for PS2.
It had a massive learning curve at the beginning to get a somewhat decent car, then tapered off some and made the game worth it. Definitely one of my favorite racing games though. (I don't play many.)

Import Tuner Challenge was rather a garbage game. Stick to Tokyo Extreme Racer 2 or 3 on the PS2. Damn, now I think I will fire up my old PS2 just to play those games again.
