Man...M3 does attract rivals on the road!!!
I previously had 330ci which never attracted any rivals on the road to race though... it attracted some due to my personalized tags..
Since i got this new M, every time i hit the road there is always somone who either tail gates me or drives parallel to me and starts staring at me..... last time it was E63 amg and today it was SL500. Both mercs were black....not sure if black attract blacks.. i almost got tempted to race but didnt wanna violate the break-in period rules.. Last edited by mclarenmaniac; 05-19-2010 at 01:14 PM.. |

Since you live in PV, I take it you haven't run into the douchebag in the AW 335i that tries to race everyone. I was right by Torrance Memorial hospital and he asked me to roll down my windows and wanted to race right by the hospital! I've seen him many times as well. He want to race in the rain on the 405S another day as well! |

So true, I get the most from Audi's and Infiniti G's.

i get more harassed by the infiniti d bag G35 19 yr olds.......for some reason they feel the G35 is the M3's true rival.....um....NO. Most AMG, 335 dudes always admire and give the thumbs up......

I have 17,000 miles AND a Dinan badge and a 500 mile/week commute. Nobody bothers me. Very different when I drive my lowered, highly modded 400 whp Lancer EVO VIII MR.

I find Subaru's the worst! Especially the WRX STI's. Seems like they are crazy drivers already.

I never had issues with people trying to race me in the M. Maybe the sedan is a little more covert than the coupe. My GT-R is an entirely different story. I get everything from stock looking Civics to Corvettes trying to race me. I think most just want to see how fast the car really is. I just ignore these folks and mind my own business.

Yeah all of the above cars and more but I find they all just come flying by and I don't even realize they're there until the bob and weave through traffic like psychos and expect you to follow them

Around my neck of the woods I get it from turbo-diesel F-250 duallys & their GMC/Chevvy brethren!

LOL, haha wow, I know what you mean. Some igmo in a busted-ass Civic with a muffler was doing that to me a few days ago when I was just out cruising around enjoying the M. We hit a stoplight and when it turned green, I gave him a little tap so he could hear that V8, but oh no, he still starts bobbing and weaving and falling back then speeding up trying to get me to budge. haha it's so funny. i just love it.
