a new BBS

went across this on the internet

a new BBS wheel which looks kind of like the FI but I think is lighter

19*9 is only 7.2KG (15.88lbs) now that is hard to beat if you ask me.

also it states that the process of this wheel takes 6 times longer to produce then the normal forged wheel

here is the link!

We'll be releasing more info as it becomes available. These are infact made of a different material than the FI wheels and at the Japanese facility instead of the Germany racing facility . Pricing should be about the same or more than the FI wheels when pricing is converted to USD depending on what BBS USA decides to do with these. Obviously sizing is limited to 19x9/19x10 only currently on the RI-D

wow... definitely want more info on these. I currently have my eye set on TE-37SL since they are the lightest right now in an 18" rim... If this is as light as they say in a 19" rim, i'd definitely have to jump on these.

i thought only pure magnesium wheels were THIS light...

Only ~$2400 per wheel according to the ad!

I might be able to spare a kidney....

After seeing these on your car bunnn, these are one of my favourites!

Those look great! I thought the regular BBS FI were available in 10.5/9.5? These seem to be 10.0/9.0?

correct, the FI sizes are 19x9.5/19x10.5. The Japanese RI-D configuration is the 9/10 setup.

Cool. I'd prefer stock widths for any wheel upgrade. Too bad that these new wheels are likely far beyond my budget!

Group buy, anyone?

I am too. Although it misunderstood company's name "Washi Beam" as Eagle and Mayer, it's quite impressive still.
