NorCal Shop with a Dyno

Hey all! As the title states, I'm looking for a local shop to do some baseline (fully bolted on) and post vt2-625 runs! Thanks in advance

There's a shop in our building that does dyno. Maybe you can look them up on Club Autosport website.

That dyno reads very poorly ...

Thanks, Aleks. I've heard nothing but good things about you and your shop. I'm trying to get a baseline FBO and one after my vt2 625 install. I will definitely be giving you a call.

Thanks Jbook!

We actually might be doing some dyno runs on 1M with upgraded turbos next week so if your schedule permits feel free to join.

FFTEC is good, so is GST Motorsports. Both run Mustang dynos which give a more accurate read than Dynojets which usually give inflated numbers.

Not sure about FFTEC, but GST is in Hayward. FWIW the GST Mustang dyno has a reputation for being one of the lowest reading around. Not that it's a bad thing, but it is seriously known as a heartbreaker.

They are a pretty decent shop if they can fit you in. Had some good dealings with them in the past with my WRX, as that is their primary focus. Not sure they deal much with BMWs, but should easily be able to do baseline dyno runs.

FFTEC is in Fremont, GST is in Hayward. A stock Evo which is rated at 286hp will read 230whp on their dyno. I'm guessing a stock M3 would be around 300whp.

The Mustang dyno is load bearing which simulates real world driving. Dynojets are not load bearing so it measures horsepower if you were driving on a roller.
