Removing Center Vents

This question is buried in another thread, so I figured I'd pull it to get a faster response. I have the center trim piece off for CF wrapping but can't figure out how to get the center vents out. I took off the two nuts, but it looks like it is clipped along the entire edge top and bottom. Not sure how to get the length of the clip lifted w/o breaking it. Since I know others have done this, I'm wondering how you removed them...

Removing the vents from the trim? Use a flat head and start at once side, Twist the head of the screw driver once inserted into the clip and pull upwards on the vent housing so it doesn't lock back into place. Do this until you get all of them and it should pop right off. It can be frustrating the first time.
