ZCP but not happy with front wheel gap??
check for shipping blocks!!
after installing my h&r race spring last night (because i was tired of the wacky front ride height compared to rear ride height).... i noticed the RF was 1/2 inch higher than LF... after further investigation and searching m3 post, i found 3 enormous shipping blocks wrapped around the actual strut rod! the dam dealer forgot to remove the shipping blocks from the RF strut, LF was fine. i've heard on the forums of blocks in between springs, well i can confirm my blocks were actually in the strut and very hard to see because they are covered by a black plastic sleeve that covers the strut rod. take a look at the pictures. 6k miles and 1 track day no wonder the car felt like it was always crashing into the "bump stops" and no wonder i hated the front wheel gap even with ZCP. if i wouldve known about this, i may not have installed the h&r springs. but then again, if i didnt install the h&r springs, i may not have ever known about the shipping blocks wedged in to my dam strut

Well, the upside is that BMW used quality materials for the shipping blocks... Those things look pretty good after 6k miles and a track day! Give my puppy an hour, and they'll be in MUCH worse shape.

Someone has to answer for that. I'd get in contact with the dealer. You're lucky you didn't experience anything catastrophic!
