M-Sport shift knob & boot
The M-sport is the perforated squarish knob and comes preintegrated with the boot.
Where can I buy this? I thought I saw it at Tischer, but cant find it now. There is a version for our cars, right? (e92 M3) Does anyone have one and can comment on it? Its an expensive item..is it worth it?

As long as you get the PN for the part, Tischer/getbmwparts can get it for you.
I don't have any experience with the M-Sport knob you describe, but I got the weighted ZHP knob and I love it. |

regular 3s and M3 have different shift boot design (bottom plastic ring is different due to M3's EDC/Sport/DSC buttons)

Yup, I've seen the normal e9x boots, but cant find the M version.
For the zhp knob, can you get that with the boot for the M?

Since M3s knob and boot are one piece, and boot shape is different than regular 3s, you need an aftermarket one man. Most of us opted to cut our stock boots since an aftermarket boot with ring costs basically the same as a stock boot/knob from Tischer, so why bother? Your call.
