GT4 at Lime Rock

I was at Lime Rock this past weekend with PCA and look what showed up. This thing is the real deal. It's fully gutted except for one racing seat, it has a full factory cage, BBS racing wheels, AP brakes. I could go on and on. Sick.

They were out running with the club and I was able to watch from the hill above the esses. He was pretty slow, no offense.

In Europe a street M3 is circa E110K. The GT4 was around E120K.
http://www.bmwcoop.com/2009/02/13/bmw-m3-gt4/

It was featured on BMW's motorsport site back in the days too for sale.

Not hard to bring to the US. As its an FIA approved race car, it can be legally imported to the US via DOT (Dick Meritt in DC is the person should you need to bring a race car from Europe)

So long and short, circa $170ish new plus duty. Used they are now for $110K or so but in my opinion its a MUCH wiser way to go than build a modfied street car for racing.

Most folks in europe and Middle east buy a racing car for racing and street car for street/track use. In USA people build street cars for racing.

Price differential possibly is the culprit. When I was living in Dubai, an E90 M3 was $100K USD. Then it made more sense to buy a GT4 than modify my street car I guess.
