Headlight condensation

I recently installed angel eyes and led turn signals on my car and noticed now that in the morning i get headlight fog inside my housing. There is no water inside just fog that eventually disappears. What could have caused this, i put water proof sealant around my turn signals and the problem still occured.

Any ideas?
Thanks

You may just drop some water while you were replacing the bulbs. If your covers are tighten up and closed, There should not be any water issue on your headlights.

What was the condition when you were replacing the bulbs?

In my garage at night, i think the door was open. Does the angel eye bulb socket have access to the inside of the headlight?

1- Open your covers and blow in the housings with a hair dryer => hot air
2- The fog (condensation) will disappear in no time .

If the condensation comes back ...Something is wrong with the sealings .

Caution when doing this... if you have dust or dirt inside your housing somewhere, you could possible kick it up and spread it to areas you don't want it (projector bowl, lense, etc).

What covers are you referring to? I only want to completely take apart the headlight if I really HAVE to.

The covers (lids) in front under the hood from both headlights .
EDIT: In this DIY-video you can see the covers at 8:10 runtime...

Reviving this thread. I discovered that the condensation is coming in through the top headlight cover and it doesn't seem to go away. I tried adding sealant inside the cover since a foam piece probably isn't enough and the condensation got worse. It has turned into water droplets instead of fog.
I'm thinking of ordering a new top cover for the headlight(the one you access for angel eyes).
Does anyone know of a good solution or part number. Thanks

I am currently having the same issue, started after I installed LUX led bulbs for the rings. So far I have replaced the rubber seals on top of the headlights but that did not solve the problem. Has anyone solved this problem successfully?

Thanks

I had an SA once tell me that the E92 M3's headlights were "vented" in a manner such that condensation should only appear during drastic temp changes. But that otherwise, condensation should correct itself. Anyone have any idea what he was talking about?

this is true. each headlight has 2 vents. the headlights are sealed but aren't exactly 100% airtight. the vents are designed to equalize the temps inside and outside the headlights (when condensation occurs).

if it's a true leak and the seals are bad, then there will be droplets that build up inside the headlight housing. this could lead to damage of the ballast and adaptive modules since they are at the bottom of the headlights, water can flow down and fry them.

Open the top two lids inside the engine bay, turn on headlights and angel eyes and run them for ~10 mins. That should fix the problem if it isn't a sealant issue.

Make sure there is 0 humidity out when you try.

Alright thats a temporary fix and I have done that to remove condensation before, even though I think its ridiculous that I have to do all that work just to clear up the headlights on a vehicle that was 70K+ new and just hit 30k miles. Can you buy the headlight seals separately is there a part number? Any help is appericiated
