MY 2013 Space Grey E92 M3 delivered

WITH UPDATE REGARDING SHIPPING - HELP/OPINION NEEDED – POST #54

Hi all,
First off, thank you all for the breadth of information and knowledge that you all provide and share on this forum. I felt this time around I was a better and savvier buyer – both on pricing and technical knowledge.

I had a MY 2011 E93 M3 JZB a couple of years ago, but had to pass the lease along due to life circumstances. I fought back and now I came back with an E92 to try a different flavor.

I have to say, I love them both equally!
Here is my build:
- SGM, black extended leather, carbon leather trim
- ZCP, ZCW, ZPP
- DCT + Moonroof (both wife compromise, but no regrets with either)
- EPS
- High beam assistant, sat radio, BMW apps

I took delivery at the Performance Center in SC. What an experience! If you haven’t done it before and have the opportunity, I highly recommend. Bucket list type of experience. Total automotive bliss. Also, took the chance to buy some ///M goodies.

Then I drove back to CT via Tail of the Dragon (Blue Ridge Parkway was mostly closed due to weather) and managed to put 1,150 miles in 1.5 days.
Next day I had the 1,200 mile service done and M Performance Exhaust installed – that’s it in terms of mods for me. I’ll try my best to avoid the "amber-reflectors-slippery-slope".

Congrats and let the mod bugs begin. I know the feeling about not getting carbon fiber moon roof and I had to compromise with the fiance as well

Painted reflectors and call it good. Those damn orange eye sore's are the only thing that bugs me...and the weak exhaust. You've got the exhaust covered, nice choice! Congrats!

Thanks. I tend to be conservative with mods, but never say never, right? At least our compromises are moonroof or DCT and NOT a Prius.

Thanks. I plan to give it some time, enjoy the car the way it sounds and looks now. If in 6 months I realize the amber reflectors bother me, then I'll do something about it. For now, I am too excited about the car and nothing bothers me.

True, I would agree with that. Even though SG is not ///M specific, it's one of the best colors for the M3. It shows more lines, designs and muscles compared to my previous JZB.

Just order the reflectors, it takes 10 minutes to swap! Then you're good to go!

Not sure about the reflectors yet, some say if I keep it stock it will be worth millions in the future.

Interesting that you mention that. I did notice it on delivery day, but did not think much of it. I think I might need to take it to the dealership to have it checked. Thanks for the hawk-eye observation.
