Ride Height Issues, US lower cushion changed?
This might of already been discussed elsewhere, but I haven't seen it at least so please point me in the right direction if I'm missing it.
Before the hype about the M3 reaching US boarders started to fill up the forums there were some issues that european versions of the car had with ride height, and as an extension of this, the driving position. Since the US spec car has been out this issue seems to have completely dropped off the face of the forums. Does the different US lower seat cushion fix this issue? Does anyone know enough about the 2 different styles of seat to even tell if there is a height difference between the two? Thanks.

The elevation change available with the seats are insane. You can put your neck on the ceiling with how high the seat will raise. It is really wild.
You can also drop the seat down plenty far. I don't see how the ride height could even remotely be a problem.

I agree. I notice no problem at all with the seat height. When you try looking over that hood bulge I cannot imagine you wanting it lower than its lowest setting. NO problem. Amazing options with seat manipulation.

I think we are dominating the discussions with our new deliveries; they're just driving!

So since the driving position is no longer an issue. Has anyone come to a conclusion over WHY BMW decided to change the seats for the US models? I can't imagine there would be US regulation over the design of a seat cushion.

BMW M enthusiasts, are not an income majority for BMW AG. Softer steering, softer leather, softer clutch... ad nauseam. This is why I'm buying the Technology package [M-Drive]. Yes, the average US citizen that buys a BMW... has a wide butt. |
