And in my opinion, they look ricey.

If they looked like the ccfl ones they used on the E46, it would look better

At least with LED/ HID you can remove them when you go to dealer

+1 ... PITA when you get problems and they stop working. Have to bake them and open them back up and that's IF you did the mod. If you didn't, you got to ship it to who ever did it for you to fix them. IMO, too much work when these are just pnp.

Not sure about a 2nd updated pack, but early/mid 2010 is when the v3 came out (if I'm not mistaken). I think you still have the v2.

That dimming function can be coded out I believe.

yes, basically you can code the AE's and voltage to behave the same as the camaross elite set, no dimming or vltage decrease. IIRC, you can also code the initial voltage to be higher even with just the AE's on thereby making the halogen/gp bulbs brighter....have not done or tried personally as of yet. If I didn't have my lux's I would most likely go the coding + gp thunder route as well.....

The luminal output on all coated bulbs are crap imho...who cares about the claimed 6000K-8500K color temp when luminal output is what is key...halogen type light bulbs put out 2200 lumens....4300 HID capsules 2800-3200 lumens.

Not sure what LED's put out.

I would never put coated bulbs in my car for headlights, angle eyes and prob even parking lights.

Who cares about how much light it puts out for angel eyes?
Its not a headlight or high beam or something
Angle eyes is basically your DRL

The warranty on most other kits are anywhere from 90 days to 1 year max.

If there is a problem with the product, we will make sure AIB stands behind it. As stated in my last email to you - we will be more than happy to exchange the kit for you. However, you need to make the next move in sending the kit back to us for replacement.

However, we do not handle or respond to warranty requests in a public matter nor on discussion forums. If you would like these replaced, please follow the instructions in the email that was sent to you yesterday.
Wanna send me some too? I got the 'new' version of the angel ibrights and they went out again..unfortunately I expected this. I was busy and had to pay someone $50 to take them out to and put my stock ones in. kind of annoying they went out.

tbh, i don't want to pay to ship my broken angel ibrights back and receive another pair that I might have to send back as well..all on my dime.

Thanks

-Dev

Do people really take their angel eye upgrades out when going to the dealer? I figured that they shouldn't really void anything since nothing is being modded other than a simple replacement?

You really have to be careful with any aftermarket ballast. I had problems with my E46 kit (Predator's I believe?). I modified the ballasts to ensure the wires didn't short and then used 1/2" shrink wrap over the body to keep out moisture.

Personally, I don't plan on messing with the OEM AE's.

I would only take them out if I had a related problem
I don't when I'm going for something unrelated

AiB= complete garbage (from experience) - thankfully EAS customer service is legit. I still can't understand why they still sell them- there's tons of these similar threads with the same problems on e90 post.

LS3/OSS are the way to go if you ask me, love my LS3s

I KNEW this would be the problem with this stuff. You shove something that needs a heat sink into a small space and think there is no risk of a possible fire??? The only way this mod seems to make sense is when someone is able to take the new factory E90 corona bulbs and use them in an M3. Or it is possible that the 2012 M3 will have the brighter coronas and it will be not so difficult to make them backwards compatible. That will end the aftermarket for the M3.
