460hp V8 Lexus RC-F
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com If the reveal teaser is true, Lexus isn't screwing around and going straight for the throat. |

Yep, seems like a lot of great cars will debut at the Detroit auto show.

From MotorTrend "The RC lineup will land in Lexus showrooms late next year for around $40,000, while the fire-breathing RC F will be priced a little north of $100,000."
Read more: http://www.motortrend.com/future/con...#ixzz2o5EOySbg I can think of a few cars I'd rather have at the "little north of $100K" price point. GT-R comes to mind. This RC-F can't cost this much if it really wants to be relevant. |

Hey guy I currently own 2011 IS-f from all info from dealers as well as other owner it looks like price will be in high 60's to low 70's fully loaded. Some spec 460hp, 401tq carbon fiber hood, roof, and trunk all new suspension bits several of which will come from LFA. Better aerodynamic as well as such as hood scoop that re-directs air flow from top of car to bottom of car creating more down force, active aero from LFA the same rear wing that engages at higher speeds they say this will allow for top speed of over 186mph, current IS-F 170mph. Recaro seats, brembo 6 piston F, 4 piston R brakes, gauge cluster similar to LFA, transmission will remain 8 speed single clutch similar to current IS-F but once again many of tranny parts coming from LFA which will allow even quicker up and down shifts, as well as different gearing set up. Weight is still unknown I think it will be around 3600lb but know one know yet. Still waiting on Ring times, 1/4, 0-60. 0-100 braking etc.
Here some pics first one were from Ring several months ago other are what finsh RC-f will possibly look like. Last edited by davcrz5; 12-21-2013 at 08:43 AM.. |

No interior pics yet but they will most likely closely resemble IS350 F Sport but with Recaro seats more carbon fiber bit, leather etc. To give you idea of interior here shots of current IS350 F sport interior

Lexus also plans to race new RC-F in new Super GT Class this car will be know as LF-CC. Lexus is finally getting it, in order truly develop there F line of car they need to race them, you gain so much info when you race which then trickles down to your production model allowing you to produce better car.

once again another BMW competitor using a V8. Debunking the dubious theory from BMW that dropping the S65 was about eco-friendly and better performance. B.S. it was about using the same parts bin as the N55 and production line. Should have been the 450 hp 4.4L S65.
Ok, rant over. |

Not excited/intrigued about the prospect of less and less manual transmissions with these dynamic vehicles.

I totally agree but trust me I'm not narrow. I used to hate all American cars but I would gladly harbor a gt500 or a stingray in my garage now. IMO Lexus doesn't make good performance cars for consumers to purchase so that's why I can't take the badge seriously. Don't get me wrong the LFA is great and all, but for the price and what it does there are other cars I rather have and a lot of people would too.
