Handling Issue

Just wondered if anyone had experience any rear end handling issues. The rear end of mine feels a bit 'looser' than normal on the drivers side, the feeling is almost as if there is more roll when cornering. Anyone else had this on their E92 M3 at all? my car has done 17k miles

Check the alignment?

I personally feel with the stock tire width setup the rear end is a bit tail happy, but one side shouldn't feel more unstable than the other.

Could alignment cause this then? what could have caused this to change?

With car's suspension compressed for days during transit from Germany, I bet many cars are already out of spec when delivered. And dealers don't check alignment. Mine was off not my much, but off at just 4K miles.

As far as 'what can change', I'd first suspect the tire. How many miles on them? If your tires are not directional, I'd swap them and see if the behaviour switches sides. At least that way you can pinpoint the issue to tires or suspension. An alignment is not a bad idea at 17K miles anyway, so you could start there. Good luck.

It is normal. If you check even more accurate, you will see that the front passenger side rides bit different then drivers(rebound). It is normal after suspension brake in. Actually it's how bmw ride. Just don't think about it alot.
And more - if you put the car on stress - agressive driving. It thighteness up - the steering gets more heavy and accurate

But if it feels bad really check damper/shock? maybe there was some big bump to remember,
also check shock mount on that side. And subframe and diff should be overlooked too
Anyways if you feel problem - go check it to know. Maybe the bolds of wheel are loose...never know
