White angel eyes quest - for cheap
Since some time has past since LUX & company came out with their angel eyes kits, is there any new products out there that produce the same result for a fraction of the cost?
For ex. Would a good pair of 4300K to 5000k bulb work just fine or you absolutely need to go with a kit like LUX tp get decent looking rings?

I went the cheap route, got a pair of GP thunders 7500k, best $17 ever spent. They turn pretty white when on full power with ignition on. Cant go wrong. Search there is a thread about these bulbs here

Closer to 300$ shipped to Quebec
For the GP thunders @ 7500k, they obviously got their kelvin reading wrong because 7500K is purple/blue. As a comparison, stock HIDs are 4300k... which is the look I'm after...Maybe whiter... Something like 4500-5000K would work. If we just need a 35w H8, there's tons of bulb out there to choose from... Maybe some afortable HID kits would do a good job.

Still close to 200$, and there's a blue tint that I don't personally like...
Morimoto and Absolute HIDs both have quality HID kit in 4300K and 5000K which is the color I want. Both for 150$.... so if it comes down to it - I'll go that route. Still, I'd prefer to get a pair of white bulbs and try it... Any comparison pics between bulb & LUX for exemple?

GP thunders in 7500k are not blue they're actually white. I would not put anything blue on my car, my personal preference.

The Burger Tuning LED's are $129 and do a fine job. Nice and white. I have them.
The pic below was comparing the GP Thunders to the Burger ones. (GP on the left, Burger on the right.) |

I just installed the burger and they are great. I had the lux on my z4 and they might be a little brighter but its not worth over a hundred more in my opinion.

Do GP Tunder 7500K or 8500K bulbs with coding. The coding will increase the voltage to the angel eyes and make them brighter. This is the cheapest option other than a plain bulb swap. The LED angel eyes really aren't worth the price imo, and the HId angel eyes kits are overly bright and you lose the definition of the angel eyes themselves.
